Allen and Tonja Surgeon had a vision to run a mill efficiently and profitably. As owners of Rogue Valley Fuel, they have been in the wood products industry for over 20 years and gotten used to "rolling with the punches". When drastic changes hit the logging industry and environmental concerns reshaped the industry, they had to diversify. They purchased used equipment from mills that closed and began offering a wide range of products using small diameter logs. They offer products such as wood blocks, chips, posts and poles, bark, wood chips and sawdust. Having begun as a firewood business, they've expanded to include custom products for horses, livestock and equine facilities. Their success in business has been guided by extensive industry experience and they continually apply the lessons they have learned about the most efficient ways to run a mill profitably.

We have phased out our firewood because our orders for wood blocks and posts and poles have increased from the website as well as from many new referrals within the industry.
